The Monegasque Red Cross and AMADE are pleased to announce the opening of a "mother-child space" module on Camporoya, the Ventimiglia migrants' reception camp, where are received, fed, accommodated and treated every day several hundred people in transit, with a route often difficult. For young children accompanied by their parents, or minors without families, this long journey is a real traumatism, especially as moments of relaxation and games are rare.
This project consists in offering to the Ventimiglia migrant camp a space entirely dedicated to children in which they have access to fun and recreational activities. The Camporoya, equipped with this new structure, will be able to also allow the mothers to exchange in peace. They will be able to organize themselves, in a friendly way around this new means of "alternating care" the time of a laundry or care.
This project is the result of a partnership between AMADE in its commitment to unaccompanied minors in connection with Terre des Hommes Italy, and the Monegasque Red Cross, which made this space as child-friendly as possible, and the unwavering support of Italian Red Cross staff working on the camp every day.
