Commitment
Vision
Cofounded in 1963 by Princess Grace, AMADE is built on a vision of a world where children, regardless of their social, religious, or cultural origins, can live safely and with dignity and respect for their fundamental rights.
It is a vision of a world where every child has the opportunity to fully express their potentials.
Missions
AMADE's commitment to children is based on the International Convention on the Rights of the Child as well as the Sustainable Development Goals, which were adopted by the international community.
AMADE contributes to the implementation of these commitments by setting out to:
- Protect the most vulnerable children from violence, exploitation, and abuse;
- Promote the development of children by contributing to access to education and health;
- Support change through advocacy.
Values
AMADE favours the setting up of partnerships, skill set development, and the empowerment of beneficiaries.
Although children are at the heart of its concerns, AMADE also equally addresses their community.
Particular emphasis is placed on respect for equal opportunities, specifically by combating gender-based discrimination.
