First edition of the challenge “The Energy of Hope”

As part of the "Africa Eco Race" rally organized from 31 December 2017 to 14 January 2018, the Africa Eco Race, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the ASCOMA insurance brokerage group Jutheau & Husson, Lagazel joined AMADE in favor of the challenge "The Energy of Hope" for the purchase and distribution of 850 solar lamps for Mauritanian and Senegalese students.

15 schools identified in partnership with local authorities and local associations benefited from this initiative. The priority classes targeted during the distributions are the classes whose students, aged 10-11 years old, will have to pass an exam at the end of the year.

By replacing a kerosene lamp, each solar lamp can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 200 kg per year and the beneficiary child will have the capacity to study an average of 4 hours more per day.
