As part of the Prince's Government of Monaco's initiative to give digital equipment a second life, AMADE – the World Association of Friends of Children – has received a donation of computers from the Principality's public secondary schools.
This equipment will strengthen AMADE's efforts to promote digital inclusion and equal opportunities as part of the ASE Mentoring Alliance programme, which AMADE supports in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, particularly in the Alpes-Maritimes department, in partnership with the Break Poverty Foundation.
The computers will be made available to young people supported by the Aide Sociale à l'Enfance (ASE) social services, enabling them to access mentoring provided by the AFEV, as well as the digital tools they need for their education, career guidance and future development.
This initiative is part of the digital equipment reuse scheme launched by the Principality. Since 2020, pupils have been able to borrow computers to support the digital transition at school. In 2025, more than 2,700 devices (computers, tablets and accessories) were sent to a reuse programme, run in partnership with the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition.
On this occasion, Jean-Philippe Vinci, Director of National Education, Youth and Sports (DENJS), visited AMADE's premises on 15 December 2025, emphasising the importance of these synergies between public and voluntary sector actors in the field of child protection.
AMADE warmly thanks the Prince's Government of Monaco and all the partners involved for their ongoing commitment to the most vulnerable children and young people.
