L'Amade
In 2017, for its first participation in the National Competition, The Matana Secondary School of Reference “Amie des Enfants” ("Friend of the Children") presented the 62 students from the Aînés (Elders) promotion. The consistency of their efforts and drive for excellence allowed them to reach third place in the national rankings with an average of 74.9%.
The Matana Secondary School of Reference "Friend of the Children" opened its doors in September 2014, and currently hosts 269 students including 32 Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC). The Monaco International Cooperation Department (DCI) and AMADE Mondiale, long-standing partners of the FVS-AMADE Burundi, finance the construction of the school complex and sponsor 30 OVC students.
