MUNICH: Gala Dinner at Kaisersaal

HRH The Princess of Hanover presides over a Gala dinner for migrant children and refugees in Munich.

At the initiative of AMADE Germany, the Kaisersaal of Munich welcomed more than 220 Bavarians on the 14th June 2016; all mobilized in the name of AMADE.

This evening, in the historic capital of the Bavarian capital, in the presence of the descendant of the house of Bavaria, HRH Franz of Bavaria, and animated by presenter Nina Ruge, mobilized funds for the UNHCR's initiative "Time to Act" in favour of schooling Syrian refugee children in the Jordanian Zaatri camp and the integration of young migrants in Germany.

In her speech, HRH The Princess of Hanover wished to recall AMADE's commitment to refugee children and isolated migrant children, illustrated by their partnership with UNHCR and the project co-implemented with Terre des Men Italy, around the psychosocial and psychological care of isolated migrant minors arriving on the Sicilian coast.

AMADE's President also brought to the audience's attention the worrying situation of migrant children arriving alone in Europe: 10,000 of them are thought to have, according to Europol, disappeared since their arrival in Europe.

AMADE Germany, chaired by Ms Angelika DICKMAN, wished to support Roland Berger Foundation's local action to facilitate the social and professional integration of young migrant adolescents who had settled in the Munich area.

Attendees included Her Excellency Mrs Isabelle Berro AMADEI, Monaco's Ambassador to Germany, Mr Alexander LIEGL, Honorary Consul of Monaco in Munich, Mrs Emilia MULLER, Minister for Labour and Social Affairs and Mr Daniel ENDRES, Director of External Relations in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
