MONACO: 56th Television Festival

Monte-Carlo Television Festival: AMADE's jury was sensitive to the fate of refugee families.

AMADE's Special Prize was awarded on Thursday 16th June to the documentary by Mr. Amedeo Recucci "La Lunga Marcia", which explores refugee families' long journey to reach Europe.

A topical affair that deeply touched the members of the jury AMADE*, who presented its prize on Thursday evening at the closing of the 56th Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo.

RAI's great reporter, Amedeo RECUCCI, and his team followed refugees, men, women and children - sometimes unaccompanied - who were forced to leave their country in order to escape war.

At the awards ceremony, Mr. Pieter BOGAARDT, President of AMADE's jury, wished to congratulate the reporter's courage and professionalism in pointing out the tragic destiny of these families for whom the international community and NGOs, such as AMADE, must mobilize.

AMADE, which has been working for more than 50 years to protect the world's most vulnerable children, has been working to address the problem of Syrian refugee children in Jordan since 2014 through the Time To Act project initiated by UNHCR .
